Anne-Marie, Hayley Kiyoko and more

1. Anne-Marie, Neiked, Latto – I just called

Musical duo Neiked collaborate with popstar Anne-Marie and rising rapper Latto for a brilliantly fresh pop track. Sure, it follows the trend of 20s disco revival pop music for an instant TikTok hit, but the artists pull it off beautifully. Latto’s verse, while well-delivered, seems like an unnecessary feature as Anne-Marie’s sweet vocals are enough to fuel this sweet pop song.

2. MIA – The One

The British-Tamil rapper is back after releasing a No. 1 hit in 2020 with Travis Scott‘s “FRANCHISE”. The rapper has just announced the release of her next album MAST, her signing with Island Records and her rebirth as a “born-again Christian”. “The One” is a numbers rap song with echoes of OBJECTIVE, MIA’s latest album. Nevertheless, we are happy with the return of the innovative artist.

3. Hayley Kiyoko – for girls

Popstar Hayley Kiyoko releases a fun pop song for summer with a sunny vibe, memorable and repeating lyrics, and a lightly uplifting message.

4. Rico Nasty – Intrusive

Rapper Rico Nasty proves perfect for the punk sound as she continues to experiment with different sounds and genres. “Intrusive” is an endlessly inventive track that has a punk rock sound and fun, playful sound effects that add humor to the whole piece.

5. Pritt – CU Victory

British singer Pritt blends South Indian music with Western R&B to send a love letter to all the important people in her life. The result is a beautifully melodic melody.

6. Sky Ferreira – Don’t Forget

American pop singer and actor Sky Ferreira is a household name in indie/synth pop circles. The artist returns with a nice retro electro synth-pop dance track. Ferreira’s voice is more resplendent than ever and the production often feels cinematic, if a bit dated.

7. ELIZA – Neck of the Moon

The R&B singer released a dark and moody R&B track with some dance elements. It doesn’t have quite as strong of a hold on you as her previous single “Straight Talker”, but still makes for a wonderful mood or ambient background music.

8. Planet 1999 – Dune

The hyperpop supergroup has released their latest track, “Dune,” which shines with its brilliantly eerie and haunting 80s-inspired production. .

9. Kamille – learning

British singer Kamille releases a simultaneous pack of highly listenable pop music and emotionally impactful life lessons with “Learning.”
