Award-winning filmmakers Alex and Stephen Kendrick announcement they will re-release their hit film “Courageous” with new scenes and a new ending.

Sherwood Pictures’ fourth film is slated for re-release next year in theaters. The brothers said viewers “will see what happens to many characters ten years later!” It’s a new ending with some surprises!

“Courageous” was originally released in 2011 and grossed a total of $ 35.2 million, more than 17 times its budget of $ 2 million.

The Christian film follows Sheriff’s Deputy Adam Mitchell (Alex Kendrick) who “endures a terrible personal tragedy that makes him wonder what is really important to him. Comforting himself in his religion, Adam swears to become a better parent for his teenage son (Rusty Martin), and convinces his friends about the strength to sign a pledge that they will all strive to become better Christians and better parents ” , the movie synopsis reads.

The bestselling Christian filmmakers are also gearing up to release a new film in the New Year, following the success of “Overcomer,” released in 2019. Alex Kendrick attended the 28th Annual Movieguide Awards earlier this year where he attended revealed the plans.

“We’re making a movie this summer,” the actor told The Christian Post in an interview with the popular awards show that honors faith and family content.

“We’re very excited about this and it’s a true story and it’s going to take your heart. We love it! ”He apologized.

The popular Christian actor said that he and his brother Stephen, who is also his production partner, “liked the subject and what’s going to happen” as a result.

“We think this is a very timely film,” he noted.

Kendrick has said he expects the film to be released in 2021.

The brothers are used to creating original content such as their No.1 box office hit “War Room,” but their next movie was actually brought to them by a friend.

“We normally write our own movies, but this one was so powerful when we read it and saw how very timely it was for today’s culture,” Kendrick told CP.
