Eminem’s song ‘Gospel’ hits No. 1 on Billboard Christian Songs chart

Eminem has officially made his mark on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs Chart!

Eminem can now add the “#1 Christian song” to his long list of accomplishments. According to ChartData, the legendary Detroit MC, alongside DJ Khaled and Kanye West, reached No. 1 on the Billboard 100 Hot Christian Songs chart with their latest collaboration, “USE THIS GOSPEL.”

Eminem has a lot of accolades. While he may have a few detractors, the Detroit rapper is unquestionably one of the most successful entertainers of all time, and many in the music industry think that’s well deserved. So, at this point, people associate Em with a lot of things. Christian music, however, has not been one of those things.

According Vibe, The three-minute track finds Em in uncharted territory as he raps from a place of spiritual maturity, giving thanks to God for his gift of rapping and his life. Shady also takes the time to address people who look up to him, hating him at first, loving him, then hating him again.

“To compare godliness to an atheist/But I got ’em delirious/In the midst of my squabbling/I had a genius inspiration to draw from them/Pen and paper, I knock ’em out,” a meticulously meticulous Slim Shady raps . “I woke up on stage at a concert / The whole place looked like a mosh pit / The Bible by my side like a gun with a gift from God / Every day I thank God for / That’s why I give back so much homage/Praise to Jesus, I will always.”

According hnhh, Many on social media were quick to point out that it was quite shocking that the rapper who made the song “Kim” is now at the top of the Christian charts. One could look at just about any early Eminem to find not-so-biblical lyrics. “Hung on to the top bunk with a belt / Got mad and ripped Pamela Lee’s tits off / And hit her so hard I knocked her clothes off like Kris Kross,” a- he rapped on “My Name Is”.

As for Kanye West, the direction is slightly less shocking (although, to be sure, Ye has had his questionable lyrics in the past). West has spent the last few years banishing swear words from his songs and leading Sunday services. His album Jesus Is King topped the Christian charts upon its release.

DJ Khaled has enjoyed great success with his new album, God Did, which beat Bad Bunny to become the number one album on the Billboard charts.

The track originally appeared on Kanye West’s 2019 LP, Jesus Is King, but was remixed for Khaled’s latest album, GOD DID. Producer “Another One” GOD DID was released on August 25, 2022 and featured guest appearances from Drake, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, John Legend, Lil Baby, City Girls, Latto, and more.
