Here are three recent songs worth spending time with in November:
“Thank God”, Kane and Katelyn Brown
Country music superstar Kane Brown teams up with his talented wife on this moving duet, which was released as the fourth single from his third studio release, “Different Man.” Katelyn Brown – who has a background in contemporary R&B – looks so wonderful on this number that one has to wonder why it took the two spouses so long to release a duet together.
“Barking Dog”, Dizzy
The Juno-winning Canadian outfit is back with another riveting indie-pop offering, in which lead singer Katie Munshaw gently laments the hard times her dog went through before being adopted by her family. “This song is mostly about the fact that we are all just products of our youth; doomed in a variety of ways that none of us asked for,” Munshaw says.
“Mercy (Every Morning)”, Ryan Axtell
Axtell wrote this warmly inspiring song in the midst of his family’s move from California to Texas, where he had taken on the role of worship pastor at LifePoint Church in Plano. It’s a catchy and heartwarming song, which mixes modern country with contemporary Christian music and showcases Axtell’s powerful voice well.
